Heidi Watney, born May 19, 1981 is an American sportscaster. One of her achievements was being an National Merit Scholar and attended the University of San Diego on an academic scholarship. she graduated with distinction in 2003. Watney took part in Miss California USA in 2002, where she was first in the runner-up category. Watney began her job at KMPH-TV (FOX 26), Fresno, in September 2003. When she started as a daytime traffic reporter, she became a weekend sports anchor and later weekday reporter. [3]Watney arrived in Massachusetts in 2008 and began her career for New England Sports Network (NESN). She was the Boston Red Sox's gameday reporter. Watney was also host of Ultimate Red Sox Show, Red Sox Report and Red Sox Report. In January 2012 Watney began working for Time Warner Cable SportsNet in Los Angeles as a reporter with the LA Galaxy.
