Niykee continues to write songs, even though she has been caught up in the current turmoil. Niykee was selected for the YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. The songwriting process is a source of inspiration for hopeful producers. Niykee is always listening to music and comes across beats that spark ideas. She claims that she is able to tell if the beat is great in only five seconds. After that, a fresh song will pop into her brain. I sit on my back porch with my guitar, and then the lyrics are just a matter of time and typically it's all done in under 30 minutes. Niykee's pain in the past provides an endless source of motivation. It's hard to avoid memories that are painful from my early years, particularly the loss of my sister. These memories are included in her songs. This influences my music and creates a deeper understanding behind all things that's one the most important things for me. I want to be able to say that I'll be able to hear any of my songs 20 years down the road and feel proud of the things I wrote.
