Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American and Canadian artist and singer. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as alternative rock, folk rock but also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco has been referred to as the "mother" of the DIY movement being one of the pioneers to establish her own label 1990. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother is from Montreal as is her father, who has Italian origins. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. It is a track from her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio release. This track appears on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized to the organizers of a workshop held in Louisiana at an old plantation for slaves. She cancelled it but many (including this paper) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco offered a second apology days later. The singer is well-known for her Little Folksinger songs, however she's collaborated with many artists and styles from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives in New Orleans with Kristen Ford. At 14, she began writing music of her own. She played them at bars and coffee houses throughout her teenage years. DiFranco was a graduate at age sixteen from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts High School began in classes at Buffalo State College. Ani's new baritone was an original Alvarez, made by Chrys Johnston who at the time worked as the Alvarez artist rep. It comes with the System 600 preamp and has all solid woods--a cedar top mahogany back and sides and an Ebony fretboard. DiFranco is a resident of New Orleans, with her family members: husband and two children. Lefty is their dog that is their companion and comes and goes when she speaks. Singing and writing punk/folk Ani DiFranco achieved musical hero standing at 25 in the eyes of both her fans and critics with her seventh album Not A Pretty Girl in 1995. Then she had a bigger successes in the year 1996 with Dilate at the age of 26 in. The song, a pop rock hit from 1972 (You're a gorgeous girl) was written by the American band Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass.
