Coleman is Lancashire-born. She was the head girl in the Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A-levels. As she discussed her Emmerdale character, Coleman expressed regret for being unable to attend a college. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she was a part of the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was well-received, and the play received positive reviews. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with Drama schools. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two Awards. She won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both the Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine as well as the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will be Matt Smith's companion following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman to play the role of companion due to her ability to be the best companion for Smith. Additionally, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the industry of entertainment since 1987. She is however, more known for TV projects than movies. Out of the many roles Eva has appeared in, on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which stand out. The actress was nominated two "Daytime Emmys" in the role she played, and she also had an opportunity to explore her artistic talents. In addition to being an actor, Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneurial. Three times married, she has a daughter who is with her second husband.
